Has anyone bounced at O'smach (Chong Chom) recently ?

 

What was your experience with immigration, returning to Thai side ?

 

Not vaccinated - I would prefer to bounce same day.

 

According to website :-

 

Entry to Cambodia requires 5 usd fee for ATK test - is this test result accepted on return to Thailand, or should I get a separate ATK test done @ hospital 72hrs in advance ?

Update 21/09/2022:

 

Bounced today - unvaccinated.

 

1. Got ATK result certificate from Kap Choeng hospital yesterday - 200 baht. 20 minute turn around.

 

2. Cleared Thai immigration @ O'smach - long queues of gamblers.

 

3. Paid 30 usd for Cambodian visa - 5 usd for ATK test + certificate in Cambodian script.

 

4. Walked back - presented Thai ATK certificate to screening booth.

 

5. Filled out TM6.

 

6. Cleared re-entry immigration with no scrutiny, and a smile.

 

1 hour 20 minutes all in.

Couple of speed bumps Cambo side.

 

1. Make sure usd are new bills - crisp and clean.

 

2. Tried to tell me I needed vaccine cert aswell as ATK test - which is untrue.

 

3. Tried to get 300 thb to leave.

Thankfully I speak Khmer, so educated them with an accompanying smile.

If you have proof of vaccination - forego ATK on both sides.

 

As an aside - if you want ATK test certificate from Kap Choeng hospital - these are the times they test, so go about 20 minutes before, to allow for processing @ reception.

 

Take your passport.
