Pattaya — Transferred Pattaya Police chief Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai has been reinstated as Pattaya Police chief after being temporarily demoted to an inactive post, following the alleged forced prostitution of a Kyrgyzstani woman who filed a police report and later died from suicide.

Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai is set to return to the Pattaya Police station immediately after an order issued by Pol. Maj. Gen. Attasit Kitchahan, commander-in-chief of Chonburi province, went into effect yesterday, September 30th.

 

Kunlachart had been transferred to an inactive post from September 18th-30th after a tragic incident of a Kyrgyzstani woman who plunged to her death allegedly after being forced into prostitution by a Chinese gangster.

The fact the police, generals , politicians and even the PM all get their jobs back speaks volumes about the corruption here

Humm. A woman who just escaped from forced prostitution and then commits suicide? Come on man! She was murdered plain and simple. The police gave her up to the mobsters. That's one witness that won't be testifying.

Not a surprise to anyone. And they wonder why nobody respects the cops here.

He's in charge, but maybe he didn't know about it till too late. Won't be the first Boss not told by his subordinance. But whatever the case he will now carry the stain for life both in mind and on record. Give it a few months and he will request a transfer.

You appear to believe that we are talking about an efficient , non corrupt police force, headed by ethical , non corrupt officers.

I think you are confusing him with someone who has a conscience.  All Thai police have this removed on entry to the force.
