OLD GBP Bank notes can you exchange in Thailand?

Featured Replies

My Wife has some "old" GBP bank notes.

Now a friend from the UK came over and he told her that you have to exchange these "old" GBP bank notes because they are NOT valid any more (from the 1st Oct)

Does anyone know if my wife we can exchange these NOTES here in Thailand for new notes OR Thai Baht or must we send these "OLD" bank notes back with the friend to the UK and he exchanges them?

Depends up to what date the Bank of England will accept them

Thx but these notes are not old, she received them from her Sister who lives in the UK and when she comes over she takes GBP notes with her and exchanges them with my wife for THB.
