Hanoi People’s Committee on Friday began construction of a $55-million project providing better accessibility to the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line.

The infrastructure improvement project is part of a bigger scheme for the sustainable enhancement of urban transport along the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line, whose main investor is the Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority.

The project would entail the construction of transition points at two stations in Cau Giay and Ngoc Khanh, as well as improving sidewalks, roads, lighting systems and parking spaces, and traffic organization from the metro's first station to its sixth (Nhon to Xuan Thuy).
