Multiple foreigners and a Thai national allegedly involved in child trafficking in Pattaya nabbed

Pattaya — A couple who allegedly operated an entertainment venue involving child trafficking were apprehended in Pattaya along with two foreign suspected child sex offenders.

 

The couple, a Thai national named Ms. A (alias), 43, and a British national named Mr. Tacker, 60, were arrested yesterday, October 6th, by Pattaya police for allegedly colluding to operate a child sex trafficking ring and luring minors into prostitution among several other charges.

 

 

A police investigation determined that the two reportedly ran an undisclosed entertainment venue on Soi Buakhao in Pattaya to exploit minors for prostitution.

If it had been "farangs" they would have happily stated their individual round eyed, chalk faced ethnic/national origins......they always do with "whitey".

 

Almost certainly the individuals concerned were the "real friends" of Thailand..........who are defintely not you or anyone of your, or my, "shade".

Basically they had a 17 year old working in their bar which is against the law in Thailand and there would have been many fellow bar owners in that vicinity on the phone to plod informing them of that.

The couple of farangs arrested will be milked of huge amounts of Baht. Not for having sex with the girl but because they also paid for it

Pattaya is probably awash with girls under 20 at it, why make an example of these people? Adding trafficking to the charges always makes it sound like slavery but I doubt the girls were forced. The place only exists for girls selling sex.

There is a world of difference between kidnapping and trafficking children for prostitution, and knowingly let alone unknowingly allowing a girl in her late teens to work in a bar. Both are wrong, both are illegal, both should be prosecuted. One is infinitely more egregious than the other, which the courts should take into account in sentencing.

 

I would further suggest that making an example of them, because they are foreign (and therefore may have access to money) is also wrong. Justice is after all supposed to be blind. Try them according to the evidence, and sentence appropriately, the same sentence for the Thai or the Farang.

Under the Thai 1996 suppression of prostitution act ALL aspects of prostitution are illegal, including pimping and being a customer paying a prostitute for sex. So almost all the entertainment venues in Pattaya are breaking the law, as are the punters.

Please take another look at the vinyl reader board summarizing the case. It's alleged that child protective services and police found a total of eight underage girls working in the bar; one girl age 16, five girls age 15, one girl age 14, and one girl age 12.

It can sometimes be very hard to tell how old Thai ladies actually are. Many years ago I knew a petite and pretty Thai lady who was 31 (on her ID card). On sight she could have probably passed for 13 or 14.

What are you going on about? Can you not see the poster? There are three White guys there, Michael aged 49, Jen aged 55 and something German that looks like "Kaedger" or something like that aged 60? Kepler?

EDIT: I see now that the "Mr. Tacker" is the third guy, who is apparently British so perhaps "Tucker"?

And as mentioned above, there are a lot of underage girls in bars all over the city.

(edit: but not as young as those shown in the news story ! At least I hope not !)

How is it that these type of crimes always involve nationals from the supposedly "elite" Western white countries, the "high quality", "big spenders" that Thailand needs, and not the "cheap" Indian tourists, so vilified on this site?

Absolutely spot on. By adding the word trafficking, they get an emotional reaction out of people. Who knows what the truth actually is. And how many Thai cops and border officials are involved in real trafficking and human slavery? 

 

If it is really sex trafficking of anyone, much less minors, there should be a mandatory execution.

This is everything I could glean from studying the case summary board.

 

Sept 11, 2022: Child protective services and police officials investigate unnamed Beer bar located in Soi Bua Khao, Nong Pru, Amphoe Banglaburi and found 8 underage girls working in bar

 

 

which led to the arrest of 'A' (last name withheld) on Sept 12th, essentially for acting as the madame arranging sexual services with underage girls.

 

A subsequent search of 'A's house and the bar led to a Thai(?) woman named Orathana(sp?) and an English man named Tecktor Phillip John. Reader board does not say what involvement they may or may not have had, and does not indicate that they were arrested.

 

Allegations are that customers bought sexual services at the below bar and customers led the girls to various hotels in the area. I believe hotel room pictured may be generic and for illustration purposes only.

 

Two alleged customers: Mr Michael, age 49, American and

Mr Jen, age 55, German were arrested on September 24th 11 am for having sex and committing immoral acts with a child.

 

The arrest of the above two customers led to the arrest of a Mr Tacktor (sp?), 60 years old, English on October 5th on human trafficking(?) charges. According to the OP, he and the woman 'A' were a couple.
