Thai and Malaysian nationals arrested for reportedly being involved in human trafficking

A group of six Thai and Malaysian nationals were arrested in Bangkok for reportedly being involved in human trafficking of Thai victims to Dubai, Police General Surachat”Big Joke” Hakparn, Deputy Commissioner of the Thai National Police, revealed on Thursday, October 20th.

 

A police investigation was conducted after officials were notified of the human trafficking which reportedly involved government officials, including police officers and officials from the Ministry of Labor.

 

It eventually led to the arrest of a Thai female official “Miss A”, whose real name was withheld by the police, who reportedly assisted the victims to escape the authority checks at the Suvarnabhumi Labour Checkpoint.

Let's not talk about the thousands of poorly paid migrant workers being used in processing factories all over Thailand. Are there too many powerful HiSo's involved in the abuse of these workers Internally for Big Joke to get involved? 

 

I can see a potential trip to Dubai coming up though, to scope out the international human trafficking.

The police then requested for a search warrant at his house. However, Samphan committed suicide to reportedly escape police prosecution on October 11th.
