Thai and Malaysian nationals arrested for reportedly being involved in human trafficking

A group of six Thai and Malaysian nationals were arrested in Bangkok for reportedly being involved in human trafficking of Thai victims to Dubai, Police General Surachat”Big Joke” Hakparn, Deputy Commissioner of the Thai National Police, revealed on Thursday, October 20th.

 

A police investigation was conducted after officials were notified of the human trafficking which reportedly involved government officials, including police officers and officials from the Ministry of Labor.

 

It eventually led to the arrest of a Thai female official “Miss A”, whose real name was withheld by the police, who reportedly assisted the victims to escape the authority checks at the Suvarnabhumi Labour Checkpoint.

Corrupt as corrupt can be.. officials entrusted to protect people are the perpetrators.
