Deputy Government Spokesperson Traisuree Traisoranakul said today (Sunday) that the edicts, which came into force on October 23rd, are intended to tighten regulations on the use of the plants and their extracts in food and seasonings by food producers and vendors.

Originally for medicinal use only by pharmaceutical industries?

That soon got forgotten.

Why would you want to use hemp in seasoning? A better initiative would be to lower import duties on vinegar and olive oil in order to give tasty healthy cooking a chance.

Why you may ask, It's all about money. If the sellers state that there's some weed /extract in the food/drinks they will charge you more. (Greed)
