The Phuket City Police was notified of the incident at 6:45 A.M. Saturday morning (October 29th) near a shopping mall at the Nimit Circle (Seahorse Circle) in the Talad Yai sub-district, Mueang Phuket district, Phuket Town. They arrived at the scene to find Mr. Jaroen Penngern, 49, lying on the ground bleeding heavily. Slash wounds were found on his arm, wrist and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect later surrendered to Phuket City police but his name and age was not immediately made available to the press.
