Samui Island, Surat Thani – A naked British man was caught at a beach on Samui Island.

The Samui Police was notified over the past Halloween weekend that a naked foreign man was found walking up and down in the sea at Baan Mae Nam Beach in Mae Nam sub-district.

They arrived at the scene to find the naked foreigner in the sea. Boat operators tried to help him but he swam away. The foreign man was later pulled up from the water and was asking to put on clothes.

And you write caught? Poor man is what I say that have to meet the Thai mafia when changing clothes. And some THAI PROBABLY STOLE HIS CLOTHES.

No criminal offense as nobody got hurt , just public nuisance ... a small fine should be enough .

May be he wanted to show his " gun " to everybody . But only 2 " bullets " anyway .

Scared thais better run ...

Huge difference between a sexy, young, 25 year old Thai female and a bald , fat old British guy

No need to be offensive @Boomer6969 by calling us "boarding school educated".

So his privates have just gone social, not really news but inappropriate behaviour by falangs (especially Brits) is not so rare; my pet hate are unshaven, fat, hairy, middle aged men dressed in just a vest, shorts and flip flops shopping in Tesco among well dressed Thais, makes me cringe every time.

Totally uncalled for classing all British people the same. The Scots have a different outlook to the English who differ from the Welsh and they differ from the Northern Irish.

Even in England the North is far different to the South.

True, we may surmise he's English and from the North.

But again, we are trying to defend, by taking about Scandinavians and things that are allowed and not a problem in other countries. Too many police, and what Thais do, like even steal his clothes. Also, that it does not belong in the news. All just to cover up another Brit that can´t adjust to how things are done and seen in Thailand. The fact is, that it´s just another arrogant brit that think he owns the world and the right to do and behave like he wishes.

I agree that people shouldn't wander around naked on Thai beaches.

I don't think his actions are reflective of all Brits, just as not all Brits are "arrogant people that think they own the world". However your distaste for Brits is apparent, so your post is colored by your own views of Brits.

I thought that naked beach antics was more of a European custom.

Well, I'm jealous that he can go in the sea naked, ha!. Every time I ever went swimming in the sea I got stung by jelly fish...yep, even in Britain. Years ago when I dipped in at Phuket my right knee, calf and shoulder suffered. After that, it's don the pantyhose and tea shirt.

Sorry for your predicament, what is it that causes you to walk around naked in public?

Then stay away from Lotus's here in Samui.

Almost everyone wear shorts, T shirt and flip flops - including Thais.

Just see a smartly dressed lady/man now and again. (Thai and farang.)

Thankfully, very few shopping in their bathers these days. It used to happen quite a bit pre Covid.

(I do wear a mask to hide my unshaven mush! ????)
