A pre-school in Non Suwan, Buriram went into lockdown after a man believed to be having having a paranoid yaba attack headed for the school armed with a knife.

Parents rushed to the school to warn teachers.

It happened less than a month since a man killed dozens of children at a nursery in Nong Bua Lamphu.

Teacher Daoprakai Kamphuchart said that she'd been trained what to do in such an emergency.

The children were doing preparations for next week's Loy Krathong festival. She locked all doors and led the little ones upstairs to the second floor.

There were 50 children there at the time and they were not made aware of any problem.

But she said that it was an extremely worrying situation and not something she expected to happen there, reported Thai Rath.

Earlier Kongphol "Ming" Sae-la, 30, had attacked his mother Suphaporn Butrawat, 45, in the head and burned his house down.

CCTV later revealed that Ming was indeed headed to the school where his 4 year old child is a pupil.

He prowled around the area two times.

Local mayor Supisara Sringam said there were protocols in place at the nursery.

But she expressed concern for how long the authorities would be able to detain the suspect.

better to hunt and destroy the supplier i think.

This is why IMO that media coverage of massive acts of violence should be minimised due to the ‘contagion effect’...

... in this case the temporal spread of behaviour manifests its self as nut cases are exposed to the idea of attacking schools. This ‘generalised imitation’ clearly comes from the previous tragic events so widely reported up on in graphic detail.

I wouldn't mind if she locked the doors and led me upstairs.

Look no further than the guy who knocked up a 15 year old….no where to be seen or held accountable for his behavior…

rotten apples produce rotten apples…poor genetics and poor environment equal no chance to positively contribute to society
