Maybe not too much of a problem then. If you make it out this way make sure to bring an extension chord. Most of those "Charging Stations" are proposed stations. Perhaps a hybrid would be more suitable for myself. I definitely don't need to be stranded somewhere in Issan without a charge! Edited November 10, 2022 by MrJ2U

You top of the fuel on the Honda every week for ~฿1500 You top up the MG 2X for probably ~฿500 Or -0- if you have solar. Sounds good.

These things take time and just waiting for everything to be right at the same time won't work. I don't know how green power generation is in Thailand right now so I can't say how relevant your comment is. What is Thailand doing in terms of renewable energy? What percentage Thailand uses renewable energy? Thailand's current power generation mix is comprised of 14.9% renewables. Renewable energy is primarily produced from biomass, 30%; hydropower, 25%; solar and 24% with wind accounting for 13%.May 12, 2565 BE 1

Think you need a better map & measuring stick. You'll get 250 kms range with MG ZS or EP, and that will get you anywhere you need to go, with CSs much closer than your 300 kms guesstimate. Obviously, you should have no problem getting anywhere from Sakon Nakhon Edited November 10, 2022 by KhunLA

Also MG's are Chinese produced now so I wouldn't touch that brand. Stick with a hybrid or regular fuel unless you only want to drive one route. If you think it's your thing by all means get one. But I honestly wouldn't until things improve, especially with only a few chargers available in most provinces. Also the ones at Sakon Nakhon Robinsons we're out of service yesterday. Nightmare scenario for the odd Issan electric vehicle owner. Edited November 10, 2022 by MrJ2U

Slow at that, since those selling the dirty fuel are paying big $$$ to prolong their profits as long as possible. Remember how long, or fast it took to stop heating all houses with coal 60 yrs ago, and only because the same conglomerates control the oil & nat. gas supplies. The transition to clean, if ever, will take even longer. Especially IF YOU wait for them, and the corrupt politicians to lead the way. NEWS FLASH ... YOU do NOT have to wait. Go solar and get an EV. You'll save a $hit load of money in the short, and long run. And maybe give your kids & grandkids cleaner air. Along with maybe 1°C less temp over the next century or 2. UP2U Do you mean the EV’s and solar panels that are manufactured using your so called dirty energy? The whole green industry is a facade of false benefits and calculations. The emissions to manufacture and operate during an expected life cycle are more than conventional vehicles. Even if their was some economical efficiency to be had there is not a single country that has the infrastructure to supply the anticipated maximum demand load. This is exactly what happens when fashionable naive politics makes decisions not backed by fact, science or engineering. The only reason the green energy industry currently survives is because of government incentives and grants.

Talk about going back 30 years in time. Similar to swapping our current PC’s for a Commodore 64 and saying how great it is.

And that’s exactly the biggest problem in these debates which goes against the fundamentals of all science. The pro side wants their opinions to be believed due the the brainwashing of extremists views that unless we do as they want, the world will end. Science, engineering and currently available technology suggests that the green energy, without the inclusion of nuclear power as a base load source, is nothing more than a scam.
