The initial visa is either for 90 days with a single entry, or 1 year with multiple entries (each being valid for 90 days).

When your 90 days is up you can extend for a year(no further exits required and you can stay in country for the whole year). There is no limit to the amount of times you can extend.

I'm sure others will be along shortly with more information on the specific requirements for extensions.

really? you must be joking

Pretty easy for a foreign woman with a Thai Husband

Not so easy for a man with a Thai Wife.

Even 12 month extensions for a woman married to a Thai man are much easier.

They do not need money in the bank unlike a man.

As said you will need 3 years continuous extensions and pay income tax in Thailand.

On your non-O visa, the "Enter before" will be 90 days after the issue date of the visa. In other words, it isvalid for travel to Thailand within 90 days.

No, this is not a joke. Though as a foreign man you'd still be able to apply but it'll be way harder for a man to successfully obtain citizenship or permanent residence than a foreign woman.

Not joking, all correct. The requirements for female and male foreigners are different, always have been.
