There are so many pharmacies on the islands and I presume they all are "the best" – just like the pancake men with their street kitchens, each of them have a sign saying "Best pancakes on Samui", and probably also Phangan – personally I use either my local so-called mum & dad-pharmacy (it's a pharmacist lady owner) or the chain Morya, which has branches all over Samui...????

The best and by far the cheapest pharmacy on Koh Phangan is tucked away directly behind the Bangkok Bank in Thong Sala. I have used this pharmacy for more than 10 years and the lady pharmacist is very knowledgeable and helpful.  She has never once tried to rip me off with expensive products, unlike certain other establishments on the island! The pharmacy is only open in the evenings during the week and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Definition best pharmacy is a bit wide open question. Prescription medicine over counter without prescription? Or pharmacist who know his work and follow the rules, as well do not sell ilegal copy medicine.

I found Boots in Central Festival to be price competitive for the stuff I usually buy (NSAIDs). I generally avoid pharmacies which don't have bar code scanning at the checkout, often farang prices are applied on the spot.

Compared to most other pharmacies Morya is expensive. If you know what you want shop around.

I got a different experience, where I found the stuff I needed cheaper in Morya...:whistling:

Hello guys.

I must buy some cream and price on lazada is 90thb while at Morya it's 380thb!

Any good non scam pharmacy you can advise? I don't need as low as Lazada price but 380thb they are crazy.

Preferably in Lamai but I can move.

Maybe inside Tesco (lamai)? But today ut was pharmacist day off, so it was closed, lol.

Thank you for your help?

In my experience, I find the smaller pharmacies in the villages cheaper than the multi chains or the ones in Chaweng.

Choengmon and Bangrak for example - the independent pharmacies are quite good.

The one that I use is near the entrance to Big Buddha and she always asks if I want original or copy.

If Lazada is only 90 baht, maybe buy from them.

Thanks much for your reply.

My brain can't understand how such price difference are possible.

I just bought the cream from pharmacy into lotus lamai. Almost as expensive as Morya, 350thb. And ordered from Lazada, 65thb, lol.
