US automakers fuming after Trump’s first trade deal gives preferential treatment to imports
Yeah, but the Type 00 looks pretty awesome. The ad reminded me of the 1993 Dunlop ad which was also very arty, not much to do with tyres, but 32 years later, is still memorabel Jaguar always faced a problem with a rebrand. There are the pipe smokers, into their walnut dash, leapers and JRG paint jobs, who think Jaguar died in 2011. The XE was a mistake. I'm not sure where this idea that the ad is so-called "Woke". It was criticized because of the lack of a car. Its the morons who keep calling it "Woke". Jaguar did need a reset. They aren't going to compete with BMW, which as a brand, has gone downmarket. Similarly Mercedes. Whats clear with the new brands, mostly but not always, from China, is that they are very strong on design. Most people are genuinely shocked with the apparent quality of BYDs and even MGs, let alone brands like XPeng. The legacy brands first EV offerings were a bit fuddy duddy. The removal of an engine under the bonnet does free up the possibilities for designers. EV was always going to be challenging for car design. The electric motor commoditizes the car. Its pretty easy to put together a 1000hp package. SO the USP has to be somewhere else rather than the question about how many cylinders a car has. -

American Exceptionalism: My Bloody Sphincter!
Maybe so but you are basing this off of what other than a stupid rant. Compared to most countries America has been killing it the last 15 years. The EU and GB have been in the toilet. I do think Americas leaving the rest of the developed world in the dust over the last 15 years are numbered. Too much debt and Trump might be the final straw but maybe some of what Trump is doing will be beneficial. WTFK... -
