Former teacher jailed for raping student at summer class

A former teacher in the central Ha Tinh Province was sentenced to 15 years in jail for raping a 6th grader at a summer extra class.

Le Dung Cuong, 42, was charged with "raping a person under 16," the Ha Tinh People's Court said Tuesday.

Cuong, an English teacher, provided extra classes at his home during this year's summer vacation for certain students. At around 2 p.m. on June 20, Cuong invited one of the students to another room and raped her.
