Plan to knock rabies out in Thailand with an army of 8,600 ‘livestock volunteers’ across the kingdom

Minister of Agriculture Chalermchai Sri-on, whose ministry, on Monday, unveiled a three-year plan to wipe out rabies in Thailand through an ongoing vaccination programme.


Deadly disease reared up in 2018 due to a shortage of vaccines from 2016 and an explosion of the disease among the country’s population of wild dogs.

Border Patrol Policeman Kills Colleague In Khon Kaen

A BORDER PATROL policeman who shot dead a colleague at the Khon Kaen headquarters this morning (Dec. 5) was shot in the thigh and taken to the hospital after refusing to surrender, Sanook.com said.

Tourism minister to present extended hours opening plan to cabinet today - 4 am in 8 areas

A SECOND explosion occurred this morning (Dec. 6) near the railway track damaged in a blast on Saturday (Dec. 3) in Sadao district of Songkhla province that had derailed a freight train with three railway officials seriously injured this time.

63-year-old American arrested in Phang Nga for 745 days of overstay, hadn’t left his house in two years

3 missing in another blast at scene of Saturday’s train derailment in Songkhla

Three Thai railway officials are believed to have been killed and four others injured in an explosion this morning (Tuesday), about 200 metres from the scene of a blast on Saturday, when a freight train, travelling from Hat Yai town to Padang Besar border town, was derailed.

SRT will compensate families of those killed by Tuesday’s bomb in Songkhla

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced the deaths of three of its employees in an explosion today (Tuesday), at the scene of Saturday’s train derailment, and has promised compensation to their families.

Thai PM hints that he wants to stay on for two more years

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said today (Tuesday) that he can occupy the office for more two years only and he promises to do his best so that he can pass the baton to a successor who is “recognised” by the public.
