They received information from the Pathomporn bus station in Muang district about some foreigners behaving suspiciously after buying tickets and waiting for a bus heading south. It emerged they were five Bangladeshis aged between 25 and 47. None had passports and none were able to speak English. One of the group explained through an interpreter that they had illegally entered Thailand from Cambodia across a natural border area in Sa Kaeo province. They were on their way to work in Malaysia.
