Just make sure those selling have a business license and are paying the relevant taxes, prohibit smoking in public places, limit the amount allowed to be carried, public warning labels same as cigarettes warning of the effects of intoxication so not getting people running to emergency room thinking they are dying

people need a stress relief from the daily rigors this government has priced a good time with a few beers out for most minimum wage Thais, there is a war on meth but a yaba pill can be bought for as little as 2 baht a bottle of beer comes in at 65 baht, cannabis could be used as a buffer between the two if handled correctly

Canada legalized it maybe 4 years ago. The smoke has settled (pun intended) and it has been a financial disaster.

Canadians who invested in cannabis companies have lost more than $131 billion, according to data collected by law firm Miller Thomson, which calculated the total losses of 183 publicly traded and licenced cannabis producers.

It’s a staggering number that if divided equally between an estimated three million active investors would equate to each losing about $43,000.

They lost money because investors expected every user to buy from dispensaries and they drove share price to inflated levels. Once decriminalized many people take it on to grow and supply themselves as there is minimized need for dispensaries at a high volume and the share prices collapsed to a more normalized level.

I can't believe they would re-criminalize, esp. after wreckage to businesses here caused by covid.

Now you're going to shut these new businesses too?

There should be stern penalties for enabling underage use and exposing others to smoke.  Beyond that there is little point to further regulation given how little damage has been caused in these past months.

Give us all a break.
