The Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), the operator of the Green Line sky train service, has been urged to end its continuous advertising, demanding the settlement of a large debt owed to it by Krungthep Thanakom, an investment arm of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Krungthep Thanakom owes BTS 20 billion baht for operations and maintenance and 20 billion baht for the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for the extensions from Mor Chit to Khu Khot in Pathum Thani and from Bearing to Keha in Samut Prakan.

Assistant Professor Dr. Prasaeng Mongkolsiri, president of Krungthep Thanakom, said today that BTS has been “bombarding” members of the public with non-stop advertisements, through various channels, demanding Krungthep Thanakom settles the debt owed to BTS.

If Krungthep Thanakhom simply settled their debt then they wouldn't look so bad and would have no bad publicity. Just pay up. Simple <deleted>. A court already ordered them to pay. They are now appealing but no mention of the grounds of appeal.

555 thai officials continue to provide good laughs, amazingly productive in that front!

Sounds like BMA is setting up BTS for defamation.

"Damages" in the amount of 40 billion baht?

So what, you owe the money pay up.

Only in Thailand would they be able to stall for so long.

No doubt there isn't any money as it's all disappeared into the bank accounts of the corrupt.

So this is a great way to show the investing business people that this is what is termed a good relationship between the bank and BTS.   Hate to get into an in friendly business deal.   How stupid can people get.

Forty billion baht is a lot of money.  To drag it out to the never never appeal everything even on the flimsiest grounds.  Obviously the BMA don't have the money.

Please stop making us look bad.

So, once again, the problem isnt the problem, the problem is people talking about the problem.
