According to his ex-wife!!! Yep women never lie... I read this a little differently: A mother who obviously been preventing him from seeing his daughter went to the school to give her a pizza and like most loving fathers gave his daughter a hug only to be viciously assaulted by the police. What trauma the poor child was subjected to. A loving wife/girlfriend can turn into the Spawn of Satan at a flick of a coin. The man was obviously being prevented from seeing his own child however you cut it.

Yeah, the whole story is kinda shady. And all those female megaera teachers regularly abusing schoolchildren. Of course, "they suspected that he was up to no good".

They suspected that he was up to no good as he cuddled his eight year old in a P2 classroom.

...staff soon realized there was a problem and called the police.

Staff had been trained what to do in an emergency situation and their training kicked in in this incident that ended without further trouble.

Wow!  That's great news.  Things are really looing up in Thailand!

This is a case of he said she said.  The father may have over stepped his bounds but the school let him in and were it seems willing to let him give her the pizza.  It was when he shoed affection that they got interested.

The mother did ot warn the school nor did she charge him with anything when he went after her with the pen gun.  Therefore there are not charges that can be laid.

As to kidnapping not a chance.  He is her legal father, there is no paperwork that says he has to stay away from her, except bringing a pizza there is nothing that he did.  The school can not even charge him with being on the property they let him in.

The only thing the cops can do is let him go and advise him to get a lawyer or take it to court.

He might also be able to file charges although I am not sure what against her.

They may have been suspicious from the start. Either way, if he started to act suspiciously, it's reasonable for them to react.

Being a parent doesnt protect you from the law in relation to acting suspiciously  with your own child.

The school may have also known about the history between the parents.

They can likely rescind his invitation, making him a trespasser.

I don't think there is anything that has happened to him that he could have anyone charged with.

Are they serious?

The man has a history of violence, had recently threatened and used a firearm and was caught in a child's classroom attempting a kidnapping.

Why and how are they brushing this under a carpet?

1. No history of violence, only what she says.

2. Father is perfectly entitled to take his child under Thai law, it's not kidnapping.

3. No offense was committed so not police business.

It's a sad world when any man accused by a woman is guilty (no evidence required) and so many other men will automatically side with the woman and want the man, who only wants to see his children, punished or jailed.

Agreed

Doubtful or they would not have allowed him in

He is only trespassing if he refuses to leave and even that is a grey area

The bottom line I am getting at is that although the police were called as long as the husband quietly leaves and does not cause any problems there is actually nothing that they can do.

She is his daughter he has a right to see her until a judge says no.
