Travel outside of Thailand on an O-A Retirement Visa/Extension Of Stay?

Hi all, I was granted an Extension Of Stay on my O-A Retirement Visa.  Can I leave Thailand and return to Thailand several weeks later using my O-A Retirement Visa/Extension Of Stay?

You need a re-entry permit. 1000 Bht for single, 3800 for multiple. Available from your local IO or at the airport if flying out.

No worries, if you get it at the airport on the way out and you don't have photo and paperwork sorted beforehand add 200 Bht.

How much time at the airport needed to do the permit there?

Does it have to be your local IO ? thought you could get them at any major IO.

Any IO as far as I'm aware, "local" used in my post just as a figure of speech indicating nearest.
