Basically the US/Europe have been helping Ukraine attack Russia within it's own borders so it is a bit rich to cry foul now. The jet which was hit was identified by Air and Space Forces magazine as an E-3G 'Sentry' airborne warning and control aircraft. The plane is one of the US military's most critical eyes in the sky and was reportedly left ravaged following a strike by at least six ballistic missiles on Friday. In one image, the aircraft's midsection appears to have been blown apart, exposing the internal components in a jumbled wreck.
