What are you yammering on makes no sense. Was it your futile attempt to insult me, figures.
Jingthing
This a more general post. As there is so very much content out there, past, present, and future it's not humanly possible to watch everything that might be worth watching, not even close. So of course everyone "misses" stuff and moves on to newer stuff, or older stuff new to them. But what about shows that were associated with a time in the past, and you missed it? Such as Tiger King associated as the hit show of the beginning of the pandemic or Mad Men associated with the time it was popular? Just two examples. I missed them both. Even though both interest me, I seem to never get around to starting with them, like it's some kind of psychological block. 1

Watch World War II: From the Frontlines | Netflix Official Site na, not a great series, very slim pickings and dodgy historically. netflix would have done better to stream 'the world at war', now, that's how to do a ww2 documentary. 1

Yes, I have seen the 1973 series. BigStar had also added that recommendation. My adding a comment about Russians was not one to be added but this 2023 has an 8.2 rating. Currently finishing off " A Murder at the end of the World" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15227418/ Very good even though I normally avoid things that Clive Owen is in.

Mad Men's good, watched it twice and that was enough. It's deeper than it might seem at first. @Jingthing probably wouldn't like it, too unwoke and pre-socialist identity politics. A Murder had good potential but quickly blew it, so I gave it up after 2 episodes and recently read the synopsis. AFAIK, Silo's about the best SF series of this year. Interesting you say that as there are a few TV series, believe or not "Friends" being one, I've sat through & bought the 10 series boxset 3 times with various GFs & found it a completely different viewing experience on each watching. Am really looking forward to watching Mad Men now :)
dhupverg
Julia is a feel good series about Julia Childs and her starting the first cooking show on TV. I'm just finishing up season 1 and I see that season 2 just completed. 8.3 on imdb https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10975574/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_1_nm_7_q_julia

I enjoyed history at all costs and don't need your BS to help in any way Yup, my agenda is that a documentary should be objectively factual. Moreover, it shouldn't be selectively biased to give an overall inaccurate impression. In this case, Netflix is simply sacrificing history to follow the money. Common pattern with supposed "real" news organizations nowadays. 9 hours ago, earlinclaifornia said: I enjoyed history at all costs and don't need your BS to help in any way Certainly you've enjoyed some historical fiction agreeing with your own biases. So you believe that Italy successfully invaded Greece, Britain immediately called up blacks from the colonies to fight, etc. etc. In favor of the series, it seems to have great colorized footage of the old war scenes. Maybe it'll be used in a proper documentary someday. Peter Jackson did a great job w/ WW I in They Shall Not Grow Old. I'm not big on comedies and figured they were too superficial. And so of course they are, but brilliantly done.
