What time do you get up at?
During my 12 years at my previous job, my routine was to wake up at 6 am, drive 30 km to a 50m pool near my workplace, swim 20 to 25 laps, shower, and then grab a quick breakfast before starting work at 8:30 am. Now, as a retiree in Thailand, my schedule is to go to bed between 9:30 and 10 pm, wake up at 5 am for meditation, and then, weather permitting, take a 3 km walk at sunrise, which is around 6:10 am. This time is the golden hour for me, with minimal sun and the coolest temperatures of the day. Following this, at 7 am, I have breakfast, shower, perform some flexibility exercises, and get ready for the day. By avoiding alcohol and coffee, sticking to a fixed routine, and maintaining regular exercise, I find that I sleep well and thoroughly enjoy life after 75. -

7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
In addition to paying at 7-Eleven and taking care of utility bills, it also offers a virtual Prepaid Mastercard that can be added to Google Wallet. I find this convenient as it enables me to pay with my watch. -

Pattaya cracks down on businesses illegally blocking public roads and parking spaces
Got it sorted here in Ban Dung, Udon Thani. The Amphore is installing new water mains throughout the whole city with their excavators and jack hammers showing no mercy to those intruding onto public land (side walks). The business's are just left with a pile of broken up concrete, tiles and rubble basically isolating their entries. Just awaiting for the PEA & telecoms to come along, after the repairs are complete, to do it again!!! As they do. -

How many here on the Farang Pub hope to die in Thailand?
At the very least, everyone knows that the cost of healthcare in the USA is too high. Also, mental healthcare is not available. If you suffer a costly illness, then just sell your house, and empty your bank account, so that when you recover, you can become destitute on the street. At least, here in Thailand, mental healthcare is mostly not needed. Here in Thailand, crazy people are very few and far between....like hens' teeth, mostly. The reason there are no crazy people in Thailand is because, here in Thailand, people need not worry about losing their house, just to pay for medical care. -

6 year old boy stripped naked and assaulted by 2 girls in Phuket
Not really an equal comparison. The foreigner knew better but did the act through anger, hate and violence. The two underage girls should have known better, but at that age??? Probably thought that it was the norm after watching what adult Thais do to each other on news reports. However, I do agree with you that neither examples are acceptable. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
This (residency requirement) could be really only Thailand-related and one of the things a western foreigner will never understand.... I have been and still travelling often and rarely heard of such requirements. I lost count of how many visas I applied for other countries while not being in my home country or had to show proof I am residing there -

Pit Bull Attacks & Kills 67-Year-Old Woman Cycling in Pathum Thani
Another article in the BP today reviews several of the latest killings by these dogs (trigger warning: not nice to read that stuff). They say these dogs are getting more and more popular here, and expect more killings. They then state that these are (quote) "family-friendly" dogs, who love to "play" and "exercise". The owners are to blame. They shouldn't keep the dogs in a cage or restrict them. It seems they suggest letting these dogs freely roam the neighborhood. Just carry your Uzi. -

Is street food good for you? Old rancid oil. Cheap oil. Food dripping with oil.
Depends what you eat, same falang food. My favourite healthy thai dish is rice, chicken and mixed vegetables, no oil -

Pattaya guys have some serious problems with bar girl girlfriends. I'd imagine some here had similar girlfriends, now wife.
