It's one thing to move on, it's another to import hundreds of thousands of patients and overwhelm the medical system so that your own people cannot be taken care of.

Important hundreds of thousands? ???? Won't happen here.

Border restrictions don't work.

people with just a cough and fever can overwhelm any country's medical system

There are plenty of 7-11s in Thailand to dispense paracetamol to “people with just a cough and a fever” and that’s as close to Thailand’s “medical system” as they need to get.

Bangkok Post reports that Thailand will once again require proof of two covid shots for all visitors. Also health insurance is required of all visitors whose next destination requires a negative antigen test. And what of us who have had two or three shots in Thailand and the app that used to display the record of our shots no longer works???

So that means all the foreigners from the west who are unvaccinated will now not be allowed entry to the Kingdom?

I can see this playing out very badly for tourism.

The unvaccinated that wanted to come for a holiday will just cancel  rather than be vaccinated because  they hold strong anti-vaccine views

Tell ne this is not the case?

Hard to tell really. Things change here literally overnight. Proof of shots would be a catastrophe. Cannot imagine they'll really do it.

Could be many vaccinated as well,  for the sake of principle. I would choose a destination without that requirement.

And he would be the heir for the next PM??? OMG what a man with brains of a ostrich..

Ostrich is a creature where every part of the body is supposedly valuable in commercial terms & nothing goes to waste.

I mean, don't insult the bird

Anutin said that the decision was based on sound information and Thai medical capabilities and was not pressured by the state of the economy.

Its always about the economy..

Thailand is gagging to get masses of Chinese back into the country.

And TAT will be telling us every day how much they are spending...

Not about the economy BS
