IMHO there is in principle nothing wrong with bar girls. It is their job to make you happy. And some of them are very good in that job. It's up to you if you want that girlfriend feeling or the porn star experience. Or maybe the girlfriend feeling for dinner and the porn star performance at home. Enjoy!

 

And if you meet a "normal" girl don't think she is not interested in someone who is willing to spend a lot of money to make her happy. It doesn't have to be cash, a nice apartment and car will be fine.

Girl friend experience is the easy part as long you are there, the problems starts with long distance relationships, and transform holidays to normal days, and normal budget to a decent wife!

Up for a mental challenge and roller coaster, a thai girl is the answer no matter bar girl or not, because you will never be sure!

 

Well if you marry a bar girl, then you should lower your expectations, right? So anything good will be a positive when proving others wrong! A win win

Back to the OP,

My current woman used to work a little Thai on Thai 'bar scam' when she was younger.

If she needed any money she'd walk into a nicer bar/hotel, and get the barman to put a 500bht bottle of whiskey on her table with the intention of getting a refund from the bar man (50/50 split).

She's wait until one of the bar staff came over and said 'that guy wants to sit with you', and she'd reply 'can he pay for my drinks?'. The guy would come over to her, the bottle would go back behind the bar, and she'd enjoy dinner, drinks and a refund on the bottle from the bar staff when she left (with or without the guy).

 

250bht in those days was 2 days work (early 2000s), with a free dinner and drinks thrown in. Never had to wait long as she was really pretty when she was younger.

True, I barfined a girl from Patpong in 96. When I got her out in more light I was so put off I dodged away into the market and did a runner, rather lose the 400 baht than have taken her back, seemed far more attractive in the low lit bar!

What do women want? A nice life.

What do men want? A nice life.

I think relationships can work or not work independent of where the couple met.

What counts, IMHO, is that they are both happy enough in that relationship.

If they both have different interests and different lifestyles then it will never work, even if they both met at work, are the same age, etc.

It seems lots of Thai girls and women are happy to take care of their husband (sex, cooking, cleaning) while he is taking care of her and her family (some respect, money, etc.).

 

I find it funny when people complain about their relationship with a Thai bargirl after their (expensive) divorce from a "normal" farang woman in farang country. There is no rule or statistic that "normal" people are happier than farang/bg relations.

Plenty of English-speaking people in professional occupations.

My partner, senior accountant, worked with multinationals through internship and post-graduation, now deals on a daily basis with companies in Japan, Germany, Malaysia all in the common business language, English. As do her colleagues and friends.
