Ditto.

Speedy recovery and all that.

In another thread a suspected cracked sternum is mentioned - now that must be painful.

Get well soon CBoy.

I went to CM forum...but couldnt find the said thread.......

I hope u get well soon CB

Sorry to hear that. Wishing a speedy recovery & next time stay upright!

Soundman.

I couldn't find the other thread either. Sorry to hear this news about one of my favorite TV posters. I've had the cracked sternum and it's kinda painful. Get well soon Crowboy.

The thread in the CM forum is about someone selling some VHS tapes. So far off topic it should be in Bedlam.

Took a while to find.

All the best for a speedy recovery CB

got a bit of a shock when I saw the thread title. Hopefully CB is not too "busted up" , makes a swift recovery and we hear from him soon.

Busted up chest is no fun. Hope you feel better soon Crowboy.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Get well soon, Crow Boy.

Stupid git. What's a crow doing driving a motocyc? Can't reach the gear shift let alone steer. Well, at least he wore a helmet. (How do they make those for crows, lop a golf ball in half?) And what's Limpalong gonna do now, huh? Leave him all alone in the woods with no backup air support.

Feel better soon, Eyepecker, but like I said in the CM thread, take your time recovering in hospital and I will keep TLW for ya. In fact, my next entry will be sternum, just for you.

Well, maybe Sceaspit can copy out this thread for ya, kind of like an e-greeting card from all your bedmates here.

Take good care and no hanky panky with the nurses now.

Best,

Jettie

All jests aside. Get well soon and hurry back.

Hope you mend quick Mr Crow, we need you back here. Glad your not bashed up too bad though, and looking forward to the story.

Busted up chest is no fun.

Got that right, it's bloody painful ...... get well soon CB.

Sorry about the limited information in the OP, it was that slightly befuddled time that falls between the last beer and the first Scotch.

I've never met CrowBoy personally but we were hoping to raise a glass or six at the Chiang Mai TV get together provided I could make it.

He told me that a considerable amount of the organisation for that function had fallen on his shoulders and was starting to feel that as far as some members were concerned he was in a no win situation; you know, the keyboard warriors who love to yap at the heels of people who actually DO things.

He also told me he was unhappy with the way a couple of other things in his life were going so hopefully he'll get some time off to get away for a while. It's an ill wind and all that.

He knows he has a standing invitation to get a little rehab time in here.

Yep, Sceaspit, that sounds like Cawbie, all action and no talk, although he does yap at times. You talk to him, tell him I'm sending ten molted snake skins and an old Haida bone-fixing remedy to him by pigeon express. Tell him not to attack the pigeon, please.

Thanks, Scea.

Sorry to hear that CB, if you manage to get on line keep your pecker up and get well soon.

TLW needs YOU!

Best wishes, CB. If there are positives about the situation then you should have time to recover before the CM piss up. How's the nurse? :o

I hope he is in a good hands and I really wish him well. I wondered why it was so quiet in Bedlam.

Best Wishes and speedy recovery CB. CC :o

Same thing happened to a friend of mine, cracked his collar bone. Hurt for ages. Hope you feel better soon, CB.

And try to take it a bit easy for awhile. :o

best wishes CB.

I was in a bike accident a few years back.

Only helped me get a little more crazy.

Looking forward to seeing your feathers back on board soon!

Take care mate.

You should try having an accident so people say nice things about you too Jet.

Hi Guys,

juest a message to say that I am alive and well. All my bits are where they should be and nothing is facing the wrong direction.

I got pretty badly bruised and have cracked my sternum - no broken ribs and apart from it being painful it is ok. I didn't go to the hospital - I have a morbid fear of them and hate doctors. I did a road side assessment, my intitial thought when I was laying on the road was that I had broken my leg but after doing a secondary examination I knew it was ok. No head trauma or spinal injury. No nerve or connective tissue damage. The bruising is extesive and deep which means it is painfull. My left forearm is also sore because I used it to smash the mirror of the guy's pickup as I skidded along the side of the vehicle. Wasn't intentional - believe me.

Short version of the accident was that I was heading home from Chiang Mai and because it had been raining I had changed into a pair of jeans and was wearing my full length Drizabone coat (Australian horse riding coat for wet weather). I was sober (true) and on my way home riding fairly slowly because of the conditions. An Isuzu pickup truck turned left into the same lane as me just in front and I slowed and moved over towards the centre of the road to avoid rear ending him. Then he decided to make life more challenging and did and immediate right turn in front of me as I am parallel to his vehicle. He collected me, my bike slid down the side of his vehicle, my arm smached off the mirror, three panels on the truck were totalled. The bike and I ricocheted onto the wrong side of the road and lay down. I am thinking "stupid Mother^%$er what the &^#$ you thinking?" He got out of his truck and walked over to me. I can't feel my legs and thinking I am paralised. He looked at me and then went back to the truck. There he decided it was more important that he be somewhere else so took off leaving me on the road. After he had gone a car came down on the side I was lying on and carefully drove around me, presumably didn't want to get bits of me stuck in the front of the radiator if they drove over the top. A bit later a third car came up in teh same direction as I was going and they stopped. Called the police etc. They stayed with me for about two hours and have called me since then to see how I am going.

I was getting up off the road when they arrived and used their headlights to help to do a proper pat down assessment and there is nothing broken. I haven't been to hospital and have been managing my own recovery, doing ok. I went for a hobble up the road the next day that was painfull but know I need to keep mobile or it gets worse. Today I am ok and much better. It will take a while for the sternum to heal but there is nothing a doctor or hospital can do to help so no point in going there.

Thanks to everyone who contacted me by phone and PM - AussieThaied called me from on ship before going into saturation. He noticed I had been off line for a couple of days - semirelated incidents. He then let a couple of other people know and I have been genuinely pleased to see the messages. Much appreciated.

This is my first time back on line and I no longer have on line access. I now need to go up to the internet cafe so will be less active than before - probably not a bad thing :o
