Full Review Of The Iphone

Can't buy one in Thailand. Can't use my DTAC sim card in one. So much ink on this subject the last few days -- nobody can escape it. Why am I reading a reprinted review about it in here? Whatever happened to ORIGINAL content?

I doubt that Apple will object to the free advertising, :o

but I do agree that posting links to the technical data is better than

pasting it all in the post.

I'm sorry but sometimes it's impossible even to get the "real" links!

But I do believe that it is interesting for (maybe just) some members to read the full "story"!

On the other hand I got some info via e-mail without any links and should I link (that maybe interesting articles) to the e-mail's I received?

Who isn't interested for to read something, don't need to do so! But there will be some or many who are interested and that's exactly for whom I write and/or post the received information here.

Funny that some member are out there who need to use "So much ink on this subject the last few days-...." to "read" an article which he can read somewhere else "printed" already and after to do so to start to complain incl. to show him "knowledge" about the Forum Rules!

I get lot info’s every day and I like to share many of them with others, special with someone who's interested. And I do believe that many of this info’s very interesting for others. But who isn't interested, who DON'T need to read and comments from this kind of "Non-Interested Readers" are negative if not to tell sometimes near to defamation!

What I wrote here right now isn't personal in any way but to explain why I wrote what!

Thanks.

And all I am asking is, do we really need a "news feed aggregator" in here? Those are many and widely available for free. Using my news feed reader, I can subscribe to unbiased news and reviews that are updated minute-by-minute.

Can you claim that your "info" presented in here is unbiased or, for that matter, up to date?

On the unlock point, see the link below.

Accidental Unlock

nice one - i am sure that information will make real hacks much easier. the hack above has two problems: 1) you need two iphones and 2) you need to really activate one of them with AT&T. I suppose it's OK if you have a friend who wanted to buy an iPhone with AT&T package anyways.

the other problem is that the iPhone's software can and will be upgraded frequently so they might just shut this loophole.

i want one but i will wait until i can buy it unlocked. i am in the US so I could easily pick one up right now, but it's just too risky. don't want to be the proud owner of a slick $500 paper weight.

for those who don't want the AT&T plan, apparently all you need to do is fail a credit check when activating. then they'll offer you a prepaid package :o

Apple apologises to early iPhone buyers

Friday Sep 7 13:09 AEST

Apple chief executive Steve Jobs has written an open letter to disgruntled iPhone customers and offered them gift vouchers after slashing the price of the hyped gizmo just two months after it went on sale.

Apple will offer them a US$100 (A$120) store credit, Jobs said in a letter posted on Apple's web site.

While Apple has not disclosed how many units it has sold to date, it has reported selling 270,000 iPhones on the first two days and expects to sell 1 million units by the end of September, potentially costing the company tens of millions of dollars.

Apple shares fell 1.2 percent in late afternoon trading on Nasdaq.

It's a lot better to read TV members opinions than follow links somewhere off site. It's not like iPhone reviews are difficult to find.

We need Thaivisa to find what people in Thailand think about those iPhones.

Reimar is doing a wonderful job here, but this time he's got a little lazy to offer his view on the subject, which I would appreaciate a lot more than a link to official apple site or c-net.

Latest iTouch gadget seems like a lot better option for those of us in Asia. It's got all the features minus the phone part that doesn't work here anyway.

This is from the funniest iPhone review 've seen so far

"Nokia uses a technology that's even more advanced than the iPhone's tap screen, allowing you to actually feel the keys you press as you're pressing them! The technology is called "tactile response," and it allows you to do things like dial a phone number without staring at your screen like a shit-chucking ape. In fact, every other cellphone ever made has this technology, sometimes called "buttons."

and don't want to retell all the jokes.

iPhone 4800$ phone bill - when switched off

Jay Levy and his family took their iPhones on a Mediterranean cruise. Now the Hewlett Harbor entrepreneur feels as if he got taken for a ride, receiving a 54-page monthly bill of nearly $4,800 from AT&T Wireless.

While Levy, his wife and his daughter were enjoying the trip, and even while they were sleeping, their three iPhones were racking up a bill for data charges. The iPhone regularly updates e-mail, even while it's off, so that all the messages will be available when the user turns it on.

"They have periodic updates on their data files, and they translate into megabucks," Levy said. "This is akin to your bank having automatic access to your ATM machine and is siphoning money out during all times of the day and night without your knowledge.
