Thai media concerned over rapid passage of new media regulation law

 

Thai media professionals have expressed concern that the government may be pushing for a speedy deliberation of a government-sponsored bill to promote the ethics of media organisations and practitioners, expected to be submitted to the joint sitting of the Senate and House on Tuesday.

Crane man doing piling work electrocuted in NE after contact with high power cables

A man operating a crane in Buriram, NE Thailand, was electrocuted after the arm of his vehicle contacted high power cables during piling work for a pedestrian crossing yesterday.

Thailand Adopts Work from Home Bill: Implications for Employers

Thailand has made an amendment to the Labor Protection Act to offer the same labor rights to remote workers. Employers can allow employees to work outside the business premises using information technology, such as computers and smartphones.
