UPDATE: 11.15am – Officials are still negotiating with the alleged shooter who remains on the bus. Traffic remains blocked along Thepkasattri Road in the immediate area, in both directions.

According to the 39 year old bus driver Somyot Buakaew, the bus was approaching the downward section of the Khuan Din Daeng Hill when he heard a gunshot inside the vehicle. A female passenger ran to the front of the bus, calling for help, and the driver then heard a second shot.

In response, Somyot immediately pulled over the bus to allow passengers to evacuate.

It’s understood the shooter is still on the bus, which has been surrounded by police officers who have sealed off the area.

The situation is ongoing and authorities are continuing to respond. This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as it unfolds.

Well it does matter when the headline is wrong.

Only seems to matter to you, while others think about the shooting.

But are you sure it was a shooting and not a stabbing?

the gunman who was seated in the middle of the minibus had got up and walked to the rear and fired at the two victims then returned to sit in the same seat.

As one does. Perfectly normal behaviour. Maybe they got on the bus ahead of him and he shot them as he'd lost face. People here have been shot for less.

Another angry little Thai boy with a gun and a tantrum??

At least he had the courage to solve the problem on his own....

Should have just taken himself out as opposed to shooting innocent victims, this is what I call a gutless animal who is utterly selfish, can't say I'm not disappointed at the ending.

Those people shot and others on the bus will be traumatised for decades to come because of his actions.
