Cannabis Extracts Face Stricter Controls Amid Regulatory Shift
FILE - A marijuana plant is seen at a medical marijuana dispensary in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., March 22, 2019. (AP Photo/Julio Cortez, File) The Thai Public Health Ministry announced plans to tighten regulations on cannabis and hemp extracts, which are classified as Type 5 narcotics. This move, approved by the cabinet, aims to regulate the production, import, export, sale, and possession of these substances more stringently. Pol Lt Gen Phanurat Lukboon, the secretary-general of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), revealed that the new ministerial regulations will undergo scrutiny by the Council of State to ensure legal compliance. These proposed regulations will establish detailed processes for obtaining, renewing, and paying for licenses related to cannabis and hemp extracts. These activities are primarily for medical, commercial, industrial, and scientific research purposes, with an emphasis on controlling this burgeoning sector. The draft regulation highlights that those lacking proper licenses will face penalties up to five years in prison and fines up to 500,000 baht. Notably, the commercial misuse or sale to individuals under 18 years of age attracts heavier consequences, including up to 15 years' imprisonment and fines of 1.5 million baht. The recent developments also link to a wider discussion involving cross-national concerns. On Monday, Pol Lt Gen Phanurat met with British Ambassador Mark Gooding. Both parties, alongside representatives from the Royal Thai Police and the Customs Department, discussed measures to combat the smuggling of cannabis from Thailand to the UK. British authorities reported over 200 cannabis smugglers connected to Thailand have been detained this year. The meeting explored collaborative efforts, such as data-sharing with the UK's National Crime Agency and training programmes aimed at enhancing drug analysis capabilities of AoT personnel in Thailand. This regulatory evolution reflects Thailand's intent to balance the therapeutic potential of cannabis with robust legal frameworks to curb misuse and illegal distribution channels, reported Bangkok Post. -- 2024-10-10 -

Hurricane Milton Intensifies: Urgent Warnings as Florida Residents Face Catastrophic Storm
Yes, rich people vote for getting richer. What you're seeing there is a concentration of wealth, with the little guys being forced to move away. Harris/Biden has been great for zillionaires. The normal people can't afford to live there any more, so the population is decreasing while the GDP is going up. Is that a good thing? -

CNG and LPG vehicles face crackdown after tragic school bus fire
Sadly you are correct but it has everything to do with education which doesnt really exist in government schools. People are given just enough to feel the government care to follow not to lead. That being said you can never rise up and threaten the protest in the past nothing as soon as the spoil brats are threatened it all goes away. If you arent given choices how do you complain when one has no clue what they are missing. -

No travel insurance for me !
A few times I’ve taken travel insurance out I never ever ever list any pre-existing conditions so there’s no real way that they’re checking and if I have a problem, they covered 100% you probably told them about your pre-existing hypochondriac attitude and now they’re not covering you that’s normal to cover walking dead man -

S/E Asian Thai Consulates going to eVisa online system effective Tuesday Oct 8th
careful, @sandyf your bullheadedness is getting in the way of your common sense 😕 FEW consulates on the evisa system require legal permanent residence to apply for a visa when you're in a country. MOST <- other than the piss poor examples you showed, just require you to show you're legally IN that country and use an address in that country when you apply. I think you're going out of the way to select "hard consulates" to show examples of how you need legal residence, might as well add all the thai consulates in China to your list too 😉 believe me (or don't) HCMC, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Penang, and Phnom Penh <- who all went on the eVisa system tuesday DO NOT require anything but proof you're legally in the country and an address where you're staying there, nor do the nearby walk up consulates Vientiane, Savannakhet, Yangon, Jakarta, Taipei require anything other than what I mentioned- 2

Trump chickens out again.
If those 'interviews' were fine, then America is in trouble. She was fed the questions in advance and STILL couldn't give coherent answers. Even the simplest question from Colbert, like "how are you different from President Biden?", she fell back on her usual mishmash of 'ambitions...dreams...aspirations..." and could not actually say anything. I am actually becoming convinced that she is not terribly clever or quick witted. God knows it hurts to say this, but I am nostalgic for the days of Hillary Clinton. I disagreed with her about just about everything, but there was no denying she was very intelligent and well prepared. -

Supporting documents required when re-entering on Non-O O/A Multiple Entry E-Visa
OP, a non O-A has a validity of 12 months from date of issue. Is your non O-A still valid. If you enter anytime during the validity of the visa you will be stamped in for 12 months. After the validity of the non O-A your permission of stay requires a reentry permit along with insurance. With an eVisa that is just an approval email and requires you to show hardcopy print out. Side note: seems that the io stamped you in visa exempt. No idea why only a 30 day stamp when visa exempt entry is currently 60 days. You mentioned that you returned to USA for 3 months. Do you plan ongoing living in Thailand? If so there are better options than both having non O-A visas. -

Harris Voices Outrage in Interview with Howard Stern
Russian Microbiologists were well ahead of the rest with their creation/production of the 'Sputnick' SarsCovi2 Vaccine; saying that, they did Stage III a little differently than Moderna by randomnly selecting everyday working Russians to do the Trial. Gifting quote "rare COVID-19 testing machines" to Putin, doesn't make any sense at all as the Russians already had their own RAT test kit and PCR analyzers.
