77kaoded went to investigate after reports earlier in the week that a whole load of knickers as well as Wellington boots and shoes had been hung up high next to electricty cables on a woman's land.

She was a landowner furious that water from a housing project had flowed in and damaged her fishpond.

Her complaints had fallen on deaf eyes so she thought her protest might get some attention. It did.

Her property is next to a housing estate in the area of King Kaew Soi 31 in Bang Plee, Samut Prakan, central Thailand.

The media and a phu yai baan met Sompong, 63, who showed them a video of water flowing under a wall.

She said she got the land as a bequest and wasn't selling it, contrary to media reports.

She'd been kept awake all hours by the noise and trees and fish on her property had died.

She'd gone to Damrongtham (a watchdog) but no one had helped her and she had little money.

So up went the knickers and down came the press!

Now help appears to be on its way at least to plug the holes that have caused the water run off.

When that has been done Sompong has promised to remove her knickers, so to speak.

Should have shown the complaint to their ears instead.

hope she has plenty of spare clean ones for this week - there are quite a lot on the line....

I hope she doesn't get a gust of wind up her skirt. What with all her undercrackers up on the wires.
