Income for IR1 US

Recommended Posts

Just toying with an idea here.

Social security income would count as income but must you actually be drawing it or can you state it as income when over 62+??

Would like to apply for her IR1 few years before I'd draw is the idea.

I have enough for the visa but some funds in question years down the line.

which taxing government are you asking about ?

For US income taxes, last time i checked , SS benefit is not income until SS is sending you money.

US.

Not for purposes of taxation but count as income on 864.

Anyway, I thought about this a bit deeper and it's impossible because USCIS would not be able to verify the amount even if it were allowed.

Sorry to have troubled you.

You cant use future SSI as income.

You can use last years tax return or use fixed assets such as houses or cars to meet the requirement.

I'm trying to recall but something tells me I needed to provide 3 years of back tax transcripts
