I think you misunderstood me. I was saying The Bible AS WELL AS The Qoran

I do not see the word "Qoran" (Qur'an) in the piece I quoted!  I am not a mind reader!

Why would an observer of Ramadan even use "The Bible"?

You are obviously not a text reader either. To quote myself

"Who needs to live in 2023 to the 'rules' written by guys 2000 odd years ago."

That was referring to a previous post about Islam, and I agree, the Q word was not mentioned.

Then someone said "1400 years ago, 1.7 billion people claim they live by them" and I replied  "And a further how many live by The Bible."

What is confusing about that?

In Saud Arabia, (where I worked for many years), during Ramadan the Saudis actually become more proficient. As it only takes them 4 hours a day to do s*d all instead of the normal eight.

I suppose not being able to drink tea all day does that too!

From my hometown of Narathiwat, I wish the Muslims of Pattaya a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. Ameen.

Have (or did have) a few muslim friends......I always referred to the day after Ramadan as Ramadana-ding-dong........they never laughed?

Do we give Muslims best wishes for Ramadan or do we save them for the end.

Both for the fasting and for Eid festival at the end of the month.

I did not know Pattaya is Muslim

Fasting in two of the hottest months in Thailand must be tough, especially for those who will have to work. Relax and keep your air-conditioning on all day if you can.

They can eat if they "have" to and make it up some other time.

Islam has a "get out" clause in the event of necessity. Don't ask me the actual edict, as I wasn't that interested, but I suffered through a few in Saudi. Non Muslims could eat normally, but not in front of Muslims.

You know very little about Islam and its people.

I know a lot, having lived and worked in Saudi for years.

I fail to understand why Pattaya Buddhists make a big deal about Ramadan when I don't recall them making a big deal about Easter.
