Blood in my urine
Bladder stones can also cause this. Maybe get an ultrasound scan. Been there, done that. Amazing number of stones were removed. -

No tax on Aussie pension
Must admit my post was a little ambiguous should have been Federal or State (Govt. employees) for this audience. -

DOGE employee cuts fall heavily on agency that regulates Musk’s Tesla
I recall on ARRSE, a forum for mainily ex-British servicemen, there was an account where the poster had come up with a biography that he was ex-British soldier, settled in Australia but traveling around in Asia, and of independant means. Part of that biography included a resentment at British foreign policy at the time in the Middle East. So he was pretty consistant with his posts, using army lingo as needed, and displaying some knowledge of the services. But there were a few lapses, and sometimes he had apparently forgotten his back story, or his English would get quite poor. The account was outed when someone pointed out the times he was posting at fitted with Moscow time, not Bangkok/Bali/Sydney time. Then he admitted, he was a Russian, and this was his job. There were shifts that operated the account, with handover notes. He was still quite genuinely anti British/West, which was fine, and the debate became more honest. So take all of our claims about ourselves with a strong pinch of salt I suppose is the message. -

Trump got caught
IMO the history of Australia shows being left wing, socialist etc, is not the end of the world. After all, we have the age pension, Medicare for all, and a low cost medication scheme. Ironically, the age pension and firearm restrictions were both introduced by conservative leaders, Deakin and Howard. Perhaps the term United States of America is a misnomer, because there are times when disunity seems to be the order of the day. -

Phuket Adventure Ends Badly for Bag-Snatching Aussies
Harsh? They are low class scum who've proven they don't deserve to be part of decent, polite society. If I had my way, they and people like them would just be executed. I don't believe in re-education. They knew what they were doing was wrong, they are just morons who thought they'd get away with it, or that the punishment won't be that bad. Prisons are a waste of money. In the UK the reoffending rate is/was around 25% and in a recent report they said a failure by the justice system to rehabilitate criminals has led to a £23.6 billion-a-year bill to the economy. Why do we bother putting people into prisons? A lot of these probably didn't offer much of value to society anyway, even before they were banged up. I'd rather live in a world where we don't have to lock anything, don't need passwords, can leave our possession anywhere knowing that the social contract will guarantee no-one will touch them, where the cost of crime is so close to zero that prices of things doesn't need to factor in losses from theft etc; and if the price of that near perfect world is the execution of millions of people before reality sinks in and people stop committing crime, then so be it. -

Immigration Biometric System Fails to Record Data for 17 Million Travelers
Could they have caught up that quickly? I thought they still used an abacus.
