Am I too late for online 90 day report?
I submit my reports at the earliest possible date. As per @Liquorice post above, if my report is due on the 27th of the month, I submit it on the 13th. I don't depend on the email reminder either. As soon as I get a report approved, I put an entry in my online calendar to remind me a day before the earliest date that I can report online. -

Harris Lies, Americans Die. Illegal Aliens are more Important
Yes, but now we have that pan calling the kettle black.. I have no doubt you would have defended his use of FEMA funds then. Trump took the money. Congress allotted the money this time, not Biden or Harris. -

Visa Run from Chiang Mai to Laos or Malaysia
The fastest option is to fly to bangkok and try to get a late landing around 02 AM or so. Then take a grab to on nut where the visa service vans depart from around 04:30 AM. 10 hour round trip to cambodia and back. No 2 day stays etc. However this costs 4000 baht, but it is almost 100 % you get the visa exempt in your passport. You can also talk to them before you leave to check your status. In Bangkok there are many visa companies doing this, quickest option but not the cheapest.... -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
It would be helpful for these men in this article if you could explain how you will be able to NEVER rely on someone else for your RETIREMENT when you are old and can not do much for your self anymore? If you are refering to the British Government as filth of the highest kind , then I believe you have missed the point entirly. -

That's what they say openly at least... just in case. How they actually vote is another matter. -

“Potential negligence” “erred” - how about investigating bribery and other corruption? Further “erred” is a mistake. Certifying these buses as safe is a deliberate action, not a mistake -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I saw that but was waiting for somebody else to mention it so thanks. The big one for me is the part about who must file and when. For the first time we have a major Thai law firm telling us that foreigners must file, not just everyone but foreigners specifically must file, when the assessable income thresholds are breached. NO mention is made of using common sense to see if tax is due and if not, making your own arbitrary decision not to file; NO mention is made of self assessing whether your TEDA levels means that you shouldn't file, if you TEDA means no tax is due. It's black and white and it's a law firm telling us, foreigners must file if they have over 60/120k of assessable income. Do I like it? Not much! But I'm happier that SIAM Legal interprets the tax rules the same way that I do and that we no longer have to rely on an unwritten rule that is supported only by a couple of farangs on AN. The other point worth mentioning is in the PWC video where they talk about the TRD using AI to determine which customer records should be audited etc etc. Take it with as many grains of salt as you wish but that's certainly the direction we're headed. The idea that TRD is several hundred people sat behind several hundred thousand grey metal desks, surrounded by mountains of paper tax returns, is not even remotely where we are. -
