Popular Post webfact Posted April 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 13, 2023 THE PHEU THAI CAMPAIGN-PLEDGED digital wallet policy would incur a relatively smaller sum of the taxpayer’s money in comparison to those promised by other camps, remarked former election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn Thursday (Apr.13). By Thai Newsroom Reporters Somchai, who is contesting the May 14 general election in party-listed mode under the Thai Liberal tickets, posted on his Facebook page to contend that the Pheu Thai promise made on campaign stumps to provide 10,000 baht in digital wallet for each of all adolescents and adults to buy goods and services in six months in a radius of four kilometers from their census-registered home would cost a relatively smaller amount of the taxpayer’s money, compared to others. The once-and-for-all 10,000-baht digital wallet would cost some 540 billion baht whilst the Palang Pracharath populist campaign to provide 3,000 to 5,000 baht in cost-of-living allowance for elderly people on monthly basis would total over two trillion baht throughout a four-year legislative term, accounting for four times as much as the Pheu Thai policy, Somchai pointed out. Pheu Thai trying to entice the younger generation. Palang Pracharath trying to hang on to the elderly who are set in their ways of thinking.
CanadaSam Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 What's amazing is that the EC is actually helping one party by publicly declaring that their scheme is going to cost less than the other party.
KannikaP Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Is the idea of giving this Bht 10000 to youngsters a ploy to make them persuade their parents to vote for PT.?
zzaa09 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 The whole election process is one big scam in one form or another. 1

connda Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 It's vote buying using public money. If allowed, it shows exactly how democratic elections have devolved to the point where overt corruption is the norm. Da*m sad. 1 1

DJ54 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Instead of free flow money….. how about free education for all children through end of high school. That would be a good investment in children for the future…… 1 1

Firstly PT has to become the government and get a good look at what is left, if anything, in the treasury. Then they can, if they wish, tweak the distances in the program.. If they need more budget the current government is already supporting 14 plus million Thais, they are also giving away 50% travel and hotel costs most months, the military budget has risen every year since the coup, they could sack 1,000 generals and nobody would notice or care. They could scrap the non completed submarines and the F 35 project, scrap national service, cut the military in half and turn it professional.
