I recently drove through the countryside shown in the photos. I suspect many expats living in the LOS have not visited this particular area. 

 

Its obviously an agricultural area where crops grown include corn, raspberries, bananas etc.

Wow that looks amazing! Great photos too. Have to seek that one out sometime. 

Nice, but y'all need to go south, PKK, Chumphon, Ranong, Surat Thani, Phang-Nga, Krabi, as these landscapes are abundant.  No real need to look for them, they're just there.  

 

Down south and many other places you get a wall of that surrounds you almost.
