Only 28 people with “legacy verification” on Twitter signed up for Twitter Blue in the hours after Elon Musk removed their blue checkmarks.

Thousands of Twitter users who were bestowed with the once-coveted blue checkmark before Mr Musk implemented the new verification system watched as their ticks vanished on Thursday.

But it seems many did not mind the loss, as there was no rush to join Twitter Blue.

I wonder if he was just upset that his rocket blew up and decided to get even by removing the verification.  He is childish enough to do something silly like that.

It seems he may be as sinister as some suggest.  He seems like a cartoon villain, but perhaps he should be constrained before he does some real harm.

Looking closer at the biggest investors (among them Musk, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Qatar, and Dorsey), all of them have an interest in challenging the US dollar. Musk and Dorsey are major Bitcoin fanatics, and believe it’s the future of money. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have expressed interest in displacing the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. It is a peculiar characteristic of the investor list that all of them are interested in displacing the dollar.

The left over-reacting to being expected to pay $8 for a private companies service has been priceless entertainment. Look at how badly Musk owns King who is whinging about being gifted a free account/trolled by Musk depending on which side you are on- just embarrassing at this point how deranged some of the establishment left are these days.

WHat they seem to not realize is they need Twitter more than the other way round. And when they have to come slinking back it will be even more cringe. Reminds of that time they left the US for Canada..

You got that wrong as usual. Stephen King doesn't want his blue check, it was given back to him for free without his consent, twitter also claims his phone number has been verified, it hasn't.
