Tucker Carlson out at Fox News, 1 week after Dominion settlement

Any future plans for Carlson may be limited until his lawyer negotiates the terms of his settlement.

Yes, he can pop out videos, but again, his lawyer is probably advising him to keep quiet - which is just all so satisfying to think of him having to shut up - until there is a settlement.

That video he released was very strange. Without his faux agency of the Fox he comes across as weak, powerless, claiming to be a victim and yes, pathetic.

If Tucker plans on suing Fox for, say, wrongful termination, he'd better have his ducks in a row.  By that I mean evidence, e.g., recordings.  Just like Gretchen Carlson and Abby Grossberg.  I doubt Tucker has anything.  Fox probably has a mountain of stuff on Tucker.  He needs to do like Roger Ailes and just ride quietly into the sunset.

Fox is probably going to start the negotiation position with a five year non-compete, even if they choose to pay all five at 20 mil per for 100 mil. And they have ALL the power. They'll probably save more than that over all the settlements?

Carlson, and Don Lemon, both hired Hollywood lawyer Bryan Freedman, who negotiated Chris Cuomo's package, to represent them. Although the two terminations seem quite different. Tucker for 'cause', and Lemon for 'performance'.

Here’s a known fact.

FOX habitually tells lies.

Here’s a conclusion.

We can’t take the reasons FOX gives for firing Carlson as necessarily being the truth.

I maintain we don’t yet know why he was fired and that for FOX to fire their biggest audience attraction the reasons must be a very real threat to the survival of FOX.

Like Rupert said?

Rupert Murdoch acknowledged that Fox News hosts endorsed false stolen election claims, and those imvolved should be fired. Date 28 february 2023

RT are keen to get there hands on him and have ‘Tweeted’ their interest.

He’d fit right in over there.

Sergei Lavrov also mentioned that they'd be happy to have him work on Russian State television.

In addition to RT, and as mentioned by Forbes, "one of Russia’s most prominent TV anchors and pro-Putin propagandists, Vladimir Solovyov, also offered Carlson a spot on his web show Solovyov Live."

The insult to injury is the first person they put in his old spot is probably the dumbest of their on-air personalities.

His balm may be how bad the dummy's ratings are.

This is about Fox and Dominion. Note how the ABC (Australia) is capable of criticizing itself.

The first time I watched ABC was during the campaign in the early 2000s, the guy running against Howard (not Rudd, the election before that) said, right there on the news, "Speaking in the manner and sentiment of the Australian people, I say that John Howard is an _rse licker."  You would never hear anything like that on US TV back then, censorship rules etc.  ABC made a great impression.

Also a few years later there was a woman on the news in wee hours who dressed in goth fashion, haven't seen that elsewhere before or since (online doesn't count).  In the US if you see something like that on at 1am you would expect she was the hostess for a horror movie.
