Free circumcision program for young Muslim in Pattaya a cut above the rest

In Pattaya, a recent initiative sponsored by Nongprue Subdistrict has enabled young Muslim males to receive circumcisions, a significant aspect of their faith. Nongprue Mayor Winai Inpitak introduced the programme on April 25 at the Nurul Yaqeen Mosque alongside Pairoj Yuttanava, who serves as the chairman of the Nernplubwan 6 Community.

 

While circumcision is typically carried out on male infants, the procedure takes on a unique importance for Muslims. Referred to as “khitan,” male circumcision is performed later in life within this religious community for faith-based reasons. As such, it aims to closely align the practice with the teachings and customs of the Islamic religion, reported Pattaya Mail.

 

In order to bolster support and grant the practice its due respect and legitimacy, Nongprue officials have highlighted the various benefits of circumcision, particularly in terms of personal hygiene and cleanliness. By labelling the procedure as a contributing factor to overall health, they have effectively established a scientific and moral foundation for the cause.

Soap and water a better solution than pointlessly surgically removing healthy skin.

What a load of hypabile whatever. It's an outdated social custom. It's barbaric and ask the millions who are not, if it's affected their health. Shame for religious reasons it happens as there are poorly executed circumcisions. Why most doctors stay clear of doing it.

You have to laugh at the excuse given for cutting off natural skin that serves a purpose - If you can't keep it clean, cut it off.

Nature doesn't have soap, but there's water.

 

Nature also doesn't provide toothbrushes, but people lost their teeth a lot earlier hundreds of years ago... and infections in the mouth from rotting teeth used to kill many people.

Eye lids keep dust out. The foreskin serves no purpose anymore.

An unnecessary procedure.  In ancient times, it was used to mark someone as a slave.  Now, I guess they are a slave to their religion.

I think cut is better religion or not.

If groups are going to do it anyway later than infancy, it sounds good that there is a public health effort to do it safely and properly.

But I don't think it should be otherwise promoted or demonized.

Health wise either way is OK for most males.

It protects the tip of your penis from your clothes.  This avoids a double dose of desensitisation.

 

There is no reason for removing it and it only decreases sexual pleasure by a considerable amount.

 

It's unnecessary and barbaric.

It's no more unhygienic to be uncircumcised than not, unless you are a person who does not clean their body. 

 

Also it takes away a lot of pleasure sensation when you are having sex.  

 

Your end will be dry and the delicate sensitive skin will thicken as defense from abrasions, which leads to lack of feeling. 

 

These religions only invented it to take away pleasure from sex and masturbation...as they think that is a sin.  That is the only reason..

Unfortunately, a lot of people have a sort of "cognitive dissonance" leading to complete rejection of any idea that the foreskin serves any purpose or is in any way beneficial, along with absolute certainty that it is actually incredibly dangerous and disgusting, due to not being intact themselves.

 

You'll notice that some people who are "pro-mutilation" absolutely hate intact penises and will say they're gross, women don't like them, they're full of disease, etc., and get quite angry about it.

 

I suppose there are a lot of people who cannot accept the facts, so they just keep on perpetuating the cycle.

Actually, the bands at the back of a retracted foreskin are the most sexually sensitive part of a male's anatomy.

and how would one know back then what cut vs not cut sex was like ? did adult males who were uncut then get cut to find out ?
