More witnesses have come forward to report sudden deaths of their loved ones, believed to be from cyanide poisoning, after their encounters or contact with a female identified only as “Srarat”, aka “Am”, the sole suspect in a series of fatal poisonings.

According to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD), 13 people in seven provinces who had connections to Srarat, might have died from cyanide poisoning. One as survived the attempt. Six of the deceased were in Nakhon Pathom, two in Ratchaburi and one each in Kanchanaburi, Phetchaburi, Udon Thani, Samut Sakhon and Mukdahan.

Yesterday (Friday), the husband of Savitri Butsrirak, one of the victims and a native of Mukdahan, handed a cell phone to the police, to check the online chats between her and Srarat prior to November 23rd last year, about two days before her sudden death.

An autopsy found high levels of potassium in her blood and some capsules of medicine were found on her bed. The man recalled that he received a call from Srarat asking about Savitri and, after he told her that his wife had died, she didn’t call again.

It's just unfortunate they didn't catch her earlier.

The murder total could be even higher than this.

If there was indeed a case in 2015 already, the actual total might be staggering.

This is now the fourth or fifth article on this case that I've read here on the forum... And unless I've missed something, none of them have....

--said anything about exactly HOW these people may have been poisoned.

--said anything about what the motive may have been for this woman poisoning the victims. Did she gain financially somehow from all the deaths?

--said anything about how this woman had come into contact with all the various supposed victims who were located in various different provinces.

A bit more explanation in this prior report from a day ago, including the Thai police connection involved.

"A surviving victim, Pla, revealed in an interview with the media that she and Am were friends because her husband and Am’s ex-husband were police officers.

The alleged serial killer borrowed money of 250,000 baht from her in September of last year. After she got infected with Covid-19, Am gave her herbal medicine claiming that it could treat her cough and Covid."

And the woman got sick thereafter....

And meanwhile:

"Am’s ex-husband, a deputy superintendent of a police station in Ratchaburi, stated that he did not see Am going to work but she always appeared to have money."

A few times in Thailand I got such a violent food poisoning (fainted, hospitalized, cracked head, loss of oxygen) that it now makes me think if it really was a food poisoning.

No, sounds like a normal  reaction to Thai food, especially Issan food.

She needs one of those cool serial killer nick-names.

Mary Ann or perhaps even Harold??

Mary Ann Cotton, née Mary Ann Robson, also known as Mary Ann Mowbray, Mary Ann Ward, and Mary Ann Robinson, (born October 31?, 1832, Low Moorsley, Durham county, England—died March 24, 1873, Durham county), British nurse and housekeeper who was believed to be Britain’s most prolific female serial killer. She allegedly poisoned up to 21 people before being executed in 1873. (She used Arsenic). Mary Ann was widely regarded as the country’s deadlist killer until Harold Shipman, who was thought to have murdered as many as 260 people in the late 20th century.

Not a bad start. Maybe something catchy would be more fun:

"The Thai Die!" killer?

"The Beast from South-east!"

Neither a borrower nor a lender be, for loan oft loses both itself and friend, and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

In press circles Apparently she's already got one "Cyanide Sara''

(Srarat being her real name)
