KannikaP
If you have Windows, burn them up to the cloud via One Drive (or Google Drive). Then they can be accessible anywhere, any device. 1
NextG
Two choices; ISO images or ‘ripping’ from disc to another format such as MP4. For ISO images you’ll need software such as VLC to play them. Often just easier to find an already ‘ripped’ download source.

recom273
Like what films / movies ? Home movies? Hollywood movies / DVD? CD / VCD? You might want to compress them first with handbrake - it's not difficult. Then they will fit on a MC.

This will give you either two files (Video_TS) or an ISO disc image, on your computer HDD, you can play those on your computer, but they will be large - either around 5GB or 9GB depending upon the original disc size. You then need to compress those using Handbrake .. https://handbrake.fr Here is a tutorial https://www.rapidseedbox.com/blog/guide-to-mastering-handbrake There are other compression software available, but handbrake is one of the most popular, its free. This will give you a file that you can play on your TV, maybe something around 1.5-2GB for a movie. Which will be playable on your TV, you can do it again for your Phone, but there are much easier ways to stream to your phone. TBH - To save yourself the trouble, you are better just throwing the 540 DVDs away and downloading 1080P HD rips from a torrent site where someone has already taken the time to compress them already. 1

Might even get a better quality movie that way as a lot of older movies are being remastered in BluRay format. BDRip in h265 codec from a trusted release group, what could possibly go wrong? ???? wprime
Yes it can be done but it's a bad idea. Memory cards aren't designed for long term storage. If left unpowered, the data will be lost after a period of time. The way people do it is a centralised storage system called a NAS. You store your films on there, then your mobiles/tablets/computers can all access it from there.
