Great idea!

Come home, go to jail, and give all your money to your grandchildren. And please don't involve them in politics if you care about them.

And if you live long enough not to die in jail then maybe you will be able to live in a decade or two together with your grandchildren.

Come home. Now. You will get free accommodation and food for years. We are waiting for you! What are you waiting for?

He needs to be locked in a sea container first!

"

"It seems he still thinks he is above the law."  Maybe so, he probably does, but where does that leave the unelected caretaker PM?  He doesn't think he is above the law, he knows it, ask yourself why he was in power for the last nine years, this is a guy with only a Military Academy education and no more brains than the average Somchai in the streets."

Easy answer, the current guy has guns behind him and the glory of the military.

Sad, wrong but unfortunately true.

Yes, unfortunately your right.

So you can’t list them?

How about you just list the top 3, can you manage that?
If what you are saying is in fact common knowledge and not nonsense, then it should be the easiest thing in the world for you to simply list the top 3 crimes Thaksin has been convicted for - if you can’t it really begs the question……

Oh he could list them and so could I but why should we sift through internet archives so your lazy ass can't be bothered. If he is crime free ask yourself why he fled the country and can't come back????......  Because he is a corrupt serial criminal.... End of story.

Another one who can’t support spurious claims. Why do you have to sift through anything, if you are making these statements shouldn’t you already know the facts? Why is it so hard to simply list the top 2 or 3 crimes you believe Thaksin is guilty of?

Do you also believe all of the Thai nationals that have fled the country over the past 20 years, seeking asylum in various other countries, are criminals?

The Thaksin obsession by junta lovers is bewildering, a great many of you have lost touch with reality. Fancy supporting the overthrow of democracy, how disgraceful.

So now you rot out 'the junta lovers'.

There's many many folks who strongly oppose the current PM and all his and his military crony actions.

And also don't like the paymster or pehaps that's too difficult to grasp?

Different subject but perhaps you can't see the chaff from the straw?

So quote some details, names, numbers!

If you're suggesting that the paymater was elected in clean elections, what's your next joke?

You might be surprised as to the number of forced/voluntary exiles that have had to flee because of suspected or made up charges and accusations, as Thailand has a long and colourful history of such activities.

Perhaps these bogus scenarios might apply to the Shinawatras as well.....or not.

Classic psychological propaganda might be the twisted culprit - something that is repeated often and loud enough, naturally it all becomes real and true.

But you're still not sure of what criminal activity.

And......turn a blind eye the current [and decades long] military/loyalist rulers who are clearly corrupted criminals in their own right, by their very nature.

Whataboutism gone wild.

At least Thaksin never stole the country at the point of a gun, as happened so many times before.

Strange how nobody ever got punished for that.

Good point.

On the other hand it was reported many times that many folks were frightened of the paymaster.

And how many more people are frightened by tanks, guns and water cannon?

Something that Thaksin never used on the crowds of protestors.

A long way from the end.

For instance was the coup illegal in the first place?

Were the charges brought against Thaksin by an army backed court?

If so, and the coup was illegal, then the charges are illegal too.

How about Thaksin left the country as he knew he would not get a fair trial?

How about no country would extradite Thaksin to Thailand for a trial on BS charges?

How about the fact that NO coup leader has stood trial for a coup, and all of them gave themselves and their cronies an amnesty?

Yep.

All perfectly reasoned.

And....obviously, some can't find the logic. Instead, justify most everything with their blind obsessions.

Blind obsessions or common sense analysis?

Pre election gimmick surely. There is no way he will be allowed back into Thailand.

Definitely an election gimmick. There is no way he is willing to come back and risk even a second in jail, although he didn't mind taking the risk that Yingluck would go to jail.  His plan is gain enough power through his nominee daughter to amnesty himself and come home after that but not before.  He is very transparent.

You guys just dribble nonsense about Thaksin, thoroughly discredited nonsense at that, and then twist yourselves into ridiculous knots to avoid providing any actual facts, truth or evidence when called out on the nonsense.

Why?

Nobody is fooled by the crap.

Why can’t you just come out and say you are opposed to democracy? Why must you pretend that the only reason you’re opposed to democracy is because Thaksin is so so evil? Own who you are. Thaksin is no saint but he is also much less of a sinner than the junta.

You guys would be absolutely lost without Thaksin…. what possible excuse could you come up with to justify opposing democracy if Thaksin didn’t exist???

Yawn...

What is the point of Pheu Thai even standing? We know what will happen if it wins. It will be removed from government, same as before. Why would this time be any different?

Because the world changes and moves on.

What happened before does not mean it will happen again

At the last election many older yellow shirts and rabid royalists protested in Bangkok and the FFP was dissolved, but ONLY after the election. Over 6 million new young voters were disenfranchised. The EC also changed its own rules on the number of votes a small party needed to get a party list seat. Once again AFTER the election.

Move forward 4 years to now and those 6 million voters are still there, and it seems that there are at least another 3 million new young voters this time around.

Contrast that with the yellow shirts and rabid royalists who are also 4 years older and quite a few have died off.

IMHO the Bangkok protests of 4 years ago will simply be swept aside by numbers alone. IF the EC, the CC and the rest of the alphabet soup agencies they will simply be ignored by the Thai people, and if the army is brought in, well there are simply not enough of them and there are many young conscripts among them who may or may not face their families and simply refuse to take part.

Did you see any other party representatives doing the same thing?

That's a generous payout for not knowing for certain how the vote will turn out. Hard to believe.
