TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody sued the Biden Administration on Thursday seeking to prevent the federal government from carrying out its latest immigration plan when the Covid-era Title 42 rules soon expire.

In the latest scrap between Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and President Joe Biden over immigration, Florida officials are asking a federal judge to postpone the policies that the state argues are “unquestionably cynical.”

With the Biden Administration set for a massive influx of asylum seekers arriving at the southern border Friday, a federal judge in Pensacola pressed them to respond by Thursday afternoon — only partially granting a time extension for responding to the lawsuit.

DeSantis loves to keep his name in the news with laws and suits that rarely or never hold up in court.  What does he care, it's all being paid for by the Florida taxpayers.

The southern border is being over run and nobody seems to care. 11,000 in 24 hours What's coming next year zero?

You're right.  Considering the difficulties employers are having in filling low paying positions we need much more than 11,000 to enter.

Taking away jobs from American citizens is crazy. No other country in the world is doing this to their own country. Let's hope this craziness stops soon.

A.I's are doing a lot of these jobs right now. So when the A.I.'s do all the jobs what do these people do? Most don't speak English. Who is going to pay for all of their needs? Also Biden has no policies on the border just let them all in.

I don't think AI will be picking vegetables or cleaning hotel rooms for a while.

Biden is trying to get them to apply through approved channels.  Unfortunately some of them are desperate and willing to take great chances to enter the US.  Other than using deadly force and using it often, people like that are difficult to stop.  Better to accept that many will get through and worry about the ones who commit serious crimes once in the country.  Past experience shows that illegal immigrants are less likely to commit such crimes than current citizens.
