More faux news/DeSantis propaganda. There was little to no surge of people crossing or attempting to cross the border after title 42 expired.

Uh Ronnie no disaster unfolding and there’s that pesky law thingy you know the ones the republicans refuse to work with the democrats on .now if we were a dictatorship then sure shut it down but we’re not so let’s get the laws changed so we can deal with this.oh but you say then how can I be mr political drama queen I don’t know perhaps pick another fight with Mickey Mouse?

Gotta give him points for paraphrasing John Howard's populist handling of the boat people crisis.

Ron DeSantis the educated man knows that closing the border means shutting down official border crossings which would do massive economic damage on both sides of the border.  He also knows that you can't "close" thousands of miles of border, much of it in remote locations.

Ron DeSantis the undeclared Presidential candidate knows that his knuckle-dragging base won't think his comments through so he can say any nonsense that appeals to them.
