POLICE are tracking down a Polish man who is likely heading for the Thai-Cambodian border after his Ukrainian girlfriend was found dead in a Bangkok condo Monday afternoon (May 15), TV Channel 7 said this evening.

The body of the unidentified 27-year-old Ukrainian woman was found in a condo at Charoen Rat road, Bang Khlo subdistrict, Bang Kho Laem district, with sharp wounds on the neck and shoulder and left wrist cut off. A saw was found next to her body.

The condo management told police that the deceased woman and her 25-year-old Polish boyfriend had come to Thailand on a holiday and rented this unit on April 29, 2023.

This afternoon the Polish man called a taxi to pick him up at the condo. However the taxi driver noticed that he looked suspicious, being in an unusually big hurry, so he mentioned his observation to the guard and told him to wait.

By Goongnang Suksawat

Bangkok – A Polish man has allegedly murdered a Ukrainian woman and dismembered her by cutting apart her body with a saw at a condominium in Bangkok.

Update 11:00 P.M., May 15th, 2023: The suspect was arrested attempting to cross the border at the Ban Khlong Luek border checkpoint, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province. He remains in custody and under interrogation as of press time.

The Wat Phraya Krai Police told TPN media that they were notified of the horrific incident at a condominium in Bang Kho Laem on Monday (May 15th).

Law enforcement arrived at the room in question on the 32nd floor of the condo, whose name was withheld by police, to find the body of a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman lying on the bed (TPN media is withholding her name pending embassy and family notification). Her body was reportedly cut into multiple parts and a saw was found left in her mutilated remains, said Wat Phraya Krai police.

She was estimated to have been deceased for 24-hours, said a Thai medical examiner. Her body was discovered when an unidentified condo security guard observed the suspect rushing to leave the building with luggage without the woman, who he had previously been seen with daily since late April. The guard found this suspicious and juristic officials gained access to the horrific scene in the condo.

Commenting for a friend. She thinks maybe the Polish man might have indulged in the delights of Thailand and she found out, maybe a cross border fight ensued with the deceased Ukrainian woman.

That or maybe she got a man on the side after she discovered the Polish kielbasa her boyfriend promised her turned out to be more like a Vienna sausage.

It's a macabre topic, but it was mentioned that 'a saw was found in her body', probably meaning that, while he tried to dismember her, the saw got stuck... That's maybe when he panicked and tried to leave as quickly as possible.

May she R.I.P.

A Polish man allegedly murdered and dismembered his 25 year old Ukrainian girlfriend “Alona” inside a condo room in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. He tried to flee the country via taxi yesterday but was arrested near the border of Cambodia in Sa Keao province last night.

Yesterday, police from Wat Phraya Krai Police Station were informed that the body of a Ukrainian woman was discovered in a condo room in Bang Khlo subdistrict in the Bang Kho Laem district of Bangkok.

Inside room No.708 on the 32nd floor, police found 25 year old Alona Shevchenko’s bloody, dismembered body lying on the bed. A saw was laid across her body parts, police said. Police estimated she was killed one to two days prior.

Police say Alona stayed with her 25 year old boyfriend Lagoda Filippow Jan Jerzy of Polish nationality. The couple entered Thailand as tourists on April 29, 2023, and rented a condo room in Bangkok together.

At noon yesterday, Lagoda packed his bags and ordered a taxi to the border in Sa Keao province for 1,500 baht. The taxi driver noticed that Filippow was acting suspiciously hasty and informed the security guard at the condo.

Glad the Thai authorities were on the ball in this instance

And caught the guy concerned in this gruesome murder

Same the taxi driver informing the hotel staff something was not right about his passenger

Should enjoy ( not ) his extended stay in prison
