Like I said, personal experiences keep media scaremongering in check.

If only Chomper had divulged what he couldn't source, we could have pointed him in the right direction.

It's so obvious but you can't see it.

Take a break, go and sit in a little corner, write a list of why you think Brexit has failed. When you've done that, compare your notes with the article on Farage.

You are miles apart. The fact you keep referring to what he said is laughable at best.

The reason I’m referring to what Farage has said is, are you ready for this?

“Nigel Farage: ‘Brexit has failed’”

Is the topic of discussion.

I hope that helps you understand the subject of the thread you are engaging in.

It may have been one of those Prime  drinks by Logan Paul and KSI that were selling for huge amounts when they were scarce  , but now some Supermarkets now have them available for regular price

OK. You seem to agree with Nige. Happy you've crossed the centre line.

What reasons he gave do you agree with?

IMF no longer expects UK recession this year

The United Kingdom will not, after all, be the worst-performing rich economy this year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Tuesday, announcing a major revision to its previous gloomy forecast.

The Washington-based organization said it now expects the UK economy to grow 0.4% in 2023, upgrading its April forecast by a whopping 0.7 percentage points.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today joined the Office for Budget Responsibility and Bank of England in admitting they were wrong to forecast the UK will suffer a tough recession this year.

It previously said just last month that Britain’s economy would shrink 0.3 per cent this year, which would have put the country at the bottom of the G7 growth table.

The globe’s lender of last resort in fresh forecasts hiked its gross domestic product expectations in 2023 to 0.4 per cent.

The new projections mean Germany is now tipped to be the weakest economy in the group of rich nations in 2023.

Good news! So at the end of 2023, UK GDP will only be 0.2% below pandemic level! ????

Pre Pandemic (2018), the U.K was faring batter than every other G7 European  Country , apart from Germany ,  only Germany had a higher GDP than the UK .

As the UK economy was thriving pre pandemic, we have further to go to reach those pre pandemic  levels

Edited already in my post. UK ranked 6th in G7 in 2018. You may also notice the strong decline from 1st rank in 2016.

If we follow your reasoning, France and UK had similar GDP per Capita. So they had the same burden of a previous high GDP per capita, the same 'handicap', so to say. Now France is 1.8% higher than UK.

Yes, Brexit has has a detrimental effect on the U.K economy

You don't have to keep stating that or hinting at that .

These are averages whether mean or median who can say since, let's face it, it's not much of a source you cited. At any rate, let's look at them from a standpoint of income inequality. The higher the number , the greater the inequality:

United States:................... 18.5

United Kingdom ..............13.8

Italy........................................ 11.6

Canada.................................. 9.4

France................................... 9.1

Germany ..............................6.9

Japan.................................... 4.5

Just to show that GDP per capita is an inadequate way of measuring how well an economy is performing.
