A tragic accident occurred when a young motorcyclist lost his life after crashing his motorcycle into the back of a lorry at a junction in Choak Chai district of northeast Thailand‘s Nakhon Ratchasima province.

The incident took place at 4.39pm yesterday. Authorities were alerted by Pol. Lt. Col. Precha Suebratcha, a police officer who investigated the scene of the accident.

At the site of the collision, in the middle of a two-lane road, the lifeless body of the young man was discovered with severe head injuries. Alongside him, his Honda Wave motorcycle lay badly damaged, without a licence plate.

A short distance from the victim was an 18-wheel truck, with the driver waiting nearby for the arrival of the police. According to witnesses, the deceased motorcyclist arrived at the junction just as the lorry was turning the corner at close range, leaving him with no time to brake and ultimately colliding with the back of the truck at full force.

25 years old and not learned the basic lesson?

Big trucks have right of way, don't care for two wheelers.

Let my prejudice flow: looking at the wrack it looks like a "pimped" little racer.

Did we a go a bit fast? Ever thought about approaching intersections with extra care and bit less speed?

Too late.

Rest in peace.

Avoidable with appropriate care from both involved.

He has all the time in the world to brake.

And now he has none.

And he's gone gone gone...

Often see these modified bikes with crazy thin wheels on them. Both braking and cornering performance must be massively reduced. I also don't remember hearing one that wasn't louder than me immediately after standing on Lego.

RIP to the young man, but I can't call this tragic when pretty much nothing is done to instill logic or any kind of basic understanding of safety into Thai road users.

Looks like the poor lad was a bit of a boy racer with the skinny tyres he's got on his bike R.I.P

very sad and loss of a young life . Thais will never learn to drive safely no training ever given !!!!!!

sadly it will never change in this country

Looks like the man in orange just picks the phone, which probably was more important than to watch the traffic..

Sad, but not unusual indeed.????
