Russia has expanded its list of sanctioned Americans in a tit-for-tat retaliation for the latest curbs imposed by the United States. But what is particularly striking is how much President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia is adopting perceived enemies of former President Donald J. Trump as his own.


Among the 500 people singled out for travel and financial restrictions on Friday were Americans seen as adversaries by Mr. Trump, including Letitia James, the state attorney general of New York who has investigated and sued him. Brad Raffensperger, the secretary of state of Georgia who rebuffed Mr. Trump’s pressure to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election, also made the list and Lt. Michael Byrd, the Capitol Police officer who shot the pro-Trump rioter Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6, 2021, was another notable name.

Well who would have guessed it. Putin has banned Letitia James, Brad Raffensperger and the cop Michael Byrd who shot the rioter at Captiol Hill. What sort of threat do they pose to the dictator Putin...........lol

 

Even Barack Obama is on the list.

A rational person would look at this and think humm now Russia and the USA are locked in a proxi struggle it would stand to reason that Putin would do anything he can to weaken the USA the problem with this is we all see how divisive trump is and now the enemy is supporting him I don’t think he’s doing his pal trump any favors same goes for the Saudis and their reduced production (their citizens did 9/11)obviously they aren’t our friends they would do anything to weaken the (great Satan) ie support trump

Did anybody ever think that Trump and Putin weren't in the same bathtub together? What other rational reason would Putin have for going after nondescript Trump enemies?

Totally agree. I'm surprised E. Jean Caroll is not on the list. But she's probably on the next list with that Scottish guy who blocked the development of the golf course.

I always thought that they may have been in the same shower together at the Moscow Ritz Carlton.

 

Obviously Trump is a friend of Putin, the enemy of the US and the Democratic world.

Probably worth listening to him. The invasion which began under Obama's term, paused under Trump's term and then resumed once the democrats got back in power. That says it all. Trump understands the art of negotiation and has history of achieving what was previously considered impossible. I trust Trump when he says he would end the Russia/Ukraine/NATO war within 24 hours. This would be bad for arms companies but would save many thousands or millions of lives(a good thing).
